Well if you look up BoJo's pro Europe agenda all throughout history (2012,2013,2014, I would link it but I'm at work) you'd realise this was only an attempt to get himself in the spotlight.
Seems like they betted on remain to win 52%-48% allowing him to criticise Cameron to the point that they'd want him to leave. Boris gets into the picture as a hero and use the result as a leverage to get a deal.
Now Cameron basically said "leave won, I'm not on that side, let them sort it out".
Oh shocker, there is no plan on the Leave side. Meanwhile 3 days Boris is in hiding franticly looking for ways to be MP yet be also on good foot with the EU while saving face for the Leave camp and voters.
He's basically wants to maintain a relationship with both his main AND his side chick.
