Eh, as a TV show it's not that big.
Produce101 ended up doing double the ratings of what SMTM had generally been doing. But its following on the internet is substantial and loyal. The TV show is just an excuse for Mnet to post the videos and singles online later.
Their dominance on the realtime music charts does sorta expose how less mainstream Korea's digital music services are becoming as the maturing competition from mobile games/video/SNS just continue to gobble up screen time share when a show with a 2 rating on cable can have the same impact as a show doing a 30 rating on broadcast.
anti-ing the label is one thing. well I guess it's good to jump off the stan train because she's not going to get that braggable #1 hit. How pathetic.
