His tweet was wrong because someone came at him for cultural appropriation, and his response was "Realize we're all the same" as if every culture is the same. If Miley or Iggy said "every culture is the same" when asked about appropriating culture they literally would be struggling for safety. He should've just deleted it, and apologized (which he did).

Honestly though, the music origin part of this is sorta unnecessary and not that big of a deal. The music is fine as long as it's not done distastefully or offensively. He seems to genuinely love R&B music + his is horrible anyway so whatever.
