And then let's look at this on the referendum:
The one about life for their children is the one I'm thinking about - Leave clearly think that the next generation will have it worse off than them, so they don't see standard of life improving. And then further down we see they think life is worse now than it was 30 years ago.
We can see it's primarily working class, poorer communities that have voted Leave and they're the ones that have been most affected by austerity. Even if it doesn't come through in life expectancy (not a great measure thanks to us having the NHS anway), people are clearly feeling worse off since the recession.
