There's talk that Boris wants to negotiate our exit before triggering Article 50. Good, we shouldn't relinquish our role in the EU as long as we're apart of it. Having a ticking timebomb would also weaken our position in leave negotiations.
They need to just face reality and trigger it quickly then Did they not even think ahead to the possibility of us leaving?
thats why david stepped down cause he won't trigger it lol and if the next conservative leader is a pro-remainer, or a brexit leader who is having 2nd thoughts themselves and doesn't want to trigger it, we won't leave after all.
All of this will factor in to whether it actually gets triggered lmao.
Actually, that's a very good base for No to build from. Once it really hits home about having to join the Euro and Schengen and the Brexit saga calms down, I think No would win.
Nicola would be a fool to trigger a referendum right now.
EU leaders can say what they want, theres nothing they can do to speed up the process of UK triggering article 50 because we haven't officially announced the will to leave.
LOVE that Miss Merkel wants the process to take time tho, I'm sure she knows the tea on how the longer article 50 isn't triggered the less likely it is that we won't leave
To be honest the vote was so close that it is OUR government that needs to take action on what, as a nation, is best. Half and half-ish are either in or out. If we stay in we need a better deal to help the ones who voted out and if we're out we also need a deal to please the ones who voted in
They have a margin of error, that would be correct.
What do you want? A referendum on whether there should be a second referendum?
Considering the scale of the margin of error and the very small gap between the 'Happy' and 'Unhappy' options, it's fair to say that it's not indicative of anything.
And asking whether someone is 'Happy' with the outcome is not the same as asking them how they would vote in a second referendum.

i agree with this. it was 50/50 so the gov should decide whats best for the country, either way 50% of people are going to be pissed
