What they did was basically pulling up the ladder for everyone behind them.
Wisdom doesn't equal age, wisdom also must come from education.
It's almost like they wanna go back to ****ing singing Rule Brittania like in the good old days but times have changed, you ditched the Commonwealth for the EU and after 43 years its too little too late.
If anything you ****ing do not listen to people sitting on their plastic chairs in front of their house while drinking Stella and watching their 5 grandchildren from different 3 fathers, in the meantime give a side eye to the immigrants cause they are taking their jeerbbss.
These people need to ask their 6 year old grandchild to help them out with the remote yet somehow this is wisdom?

the whole definition of the baby boomers is that they were born during the post-war increase in birth rate. there may be some war veterans in the mix amongst the older generation, but they are dominated by the post-war babies.

again, these people didn't fight in the war. it's also ironic, too, that the majority of the leave campaign was forged on a bed of xenophobia and this weird resurgence of post-war british nationalism. these people are not ****ing freedom fighters if they're denying refugees from war-stricken areas to find safety. fascism is on a dangerous rise in western politics.

they had the best of britain handed to them: free education, affordable housing, social mobility and golden pensions, everything which they have now taken away from the younger generations.

nope. they CAUSED the 2008 economic crisis, i.e. the worst since the 1930's. we, as young people, had to live through that, and now we're witnessing the pound crashing right now and will have to deal with what will obviously be a **** state of trade agreements post brexit.

the eu has given us skilled workers, it has given us security, it has help us shape our laws and has given us freedom of movement/accessibility to beautiful parts of the world, it has given us beneficial trade agreements and it has given us one of the biggest voices on a huge international platform.
these people are longing for a nostalgia that they'll never get back, and instead are taking away the future from countless young people without having to face the consequences.
but yeah, the older generation just rolled up their sleeves and got on with it, why can't these entitled millennials do the same?

You know, majority of self-made millionaires out there never flaunt their wealth, and often dress up as the same people as you described, because they have nothing else to prove, and they are more sensible with money and rather invest their money on things that'll make money work for them, unlike you, who is probably some white twink indulged in consumerism and buying all these brand items to make yourself feel better and make you look well off.
Next time you see a "toothless" Briton, you should look up to them, and don't judge them by their clothing. You should be wondering what kind of businesses they run, often times they're going to be fish merchants, farmers, and people who run successful business, which have seen slow growths in the last twenty years because of the strict regulations imposed by the EU.
Fish merchants, can't take their businesses to the level, because EU is preventing them to fish in their own waters, farmers can use the lands to grow livelihood stocks. And this is what fueled their anger to vote leave, is because they are being metaphorically thrown out of their own land and country, and unable to use the resources that truly belong to them, to you, and to the British people.
I just don't understand why you 17-24 year old millennials don't get it. You blame it on the older generations, calling them racists, xenophobes, bigots. Shame on you. Give these people more respect.

And this is why they voted Leave. They just know better, because they have experienced both the ups and downs of history.
Next time you see a toothless farmer who is barely understandable with that kind of accent, you should thank them for fighting for UK, for your rights, and for your future.
Gosh, you are so ungrateful about life.

What are the chances that the party that would win the elections will decide that UK stays in EU? I mean... the result of referendum is not a law or anything

I mean, many Polish people left to work in UK and from what I hear there is this glass seiling. If the job doesn't requie a degree or is in simple physical type it's ok. But if you want something more really 98% of the time Brit will take it even if your education and creds are better.
On the other hand now in Poland we start to pay Ukrainians and such for cleaning or seasional jobs A true circle of life.

Nigel Farage has called for firearm laws to be relaxed, calling the current ban on handguns "ludicrous".
The Ukip leader criticised the "kneejerk" restrictions on handguns imposed after the 1996 Dunblane massacre in which Thomas Hamilton killed 16 schoolchildren and a teacher before shooting himself.

I wouldn't mind if Farage was shot.
That would be the only upside to lax gun control.

The second referendum petition (which also wants a 60% approval threshold) has reached 1 million signatures
It only takes 100,000 for Parliament to hold a debate.

So what is it? Are these leave voters all secret millionaires hiding their wealth behind plain t-shirts, or are they bravely holding on to their business due to strangling EU regulation? The truth is neither. Most leave voters were from low-income households. Small businesses are not strangled by EU regulation; despite their veneration in the media, often small business owners are tyrants who hate the idea of complying with pay and work requirements, or equality/health and safety requirements.
Honestly, I don't have to respect anyone who drove the economy into a brick wall and probably made the world a lot smaller for the young people of the UK because of their failure to inform themselves and act on anything other than blind prejudice.
Older people do not necessarily know better. And the result of this referendum is the proof.
