I was talking to someone about a certain Joni Mitchell box set that came out about a year and a half ago, and it's something I really wish Madonna would do in 15-20 years.
It's four discs and each disc is an "act" in a larger story. The 53 songs compiled mix classic favorites, experimental songs, deep album cuts, rarities, etc. They were painstakingly assembled over a long period of time in order to really get the moods and themes right over the course of this long musical story. Long liner notes also offer something of a rundown of the material and of her career.
Wouldn't a Madonna compilation like that, curated by Madonna herself, be so fukcing dreamy?
