They should combine Nidoran M and F into a single Nidoran species with a branched gender evolution, like reverse Espurr or Burmy, Combee, Ralts, etc. I understand why it was the way it was in Gen 1 but after Gen 2 this should have been fixed. It's messy

Although in my opinion the gen 4 starters are all pretty good. I used an Infernape in many wifi battles and it can tear through many teams in the right situation. Close combat + focus sash + endeavor + mach punch + overheat always surprises the opponents
