Personally my issue with I Like That is that it's catchy but it's poorly produced. Lots of high and low frequencies and no mid-range stuff coupled with that weird bass make it seem like it's almost grinding along rather than being driven by the melody. It also doesn't really have a melodic hook, which could've been the "ooh ooh I like that" part, but the fact that there are no chord changes makes it stagnate. The bridge also falls completely flat for the same reason. I'm also a little critical of Hyorin and Soyu's extremely airy falsettos which don't mesh well with the overall sound of the song.
It's a shame because the melody is super catchy, it's just being hurt by the production rather than elevated by it.

Apart from the not very interesting concept I still think they should've been a lot smaller, 5/6 members max considering it's gonna be all about Sejeong, Mina and Nayoung.
I hope gx9 do something remotely interesting because I'm so over the cutesy innocent youth concept for rookie girl groups. Maybe the trend will go that way when GFRIEND come back with a ****ty concept.
