We all worked hard, he could have at least picked the one that fit it best, if he thought none were perfect.
I doubt i'd get the points, just saying, it was in the rules of the challenge, make ha pick fatty.

Sorry for not hiring anyone, I know it's disappointing, but everyone simply took their entries too seriously:

Literally never said your song was to be serious or comedic, nor did I ever mention kids. I just said you want to keep your traditional boy band audience in mind while writing. Had anyone just written a really solid, spunky, and catchy pop song that wasn't just a teenage-girl pandering song, they would've been hired. Anyone who hadn't taken themselves so seriously would've been hired. Anyone who would've submitted something that hadn't looked like every other entry in PH up until this point would've been hired. Notice I pointed out positive aspects of all your songs that matched with what I was going for: had they all been pooled together, it would've been a type of song I was looking for. Citrus got the closest to what I was looking for with his second verse.
I actually probably would've hired mxtthew had he submitted to my label, his style is the closest I've seen in the competition that lines up to what I was thinking.
(The one submission I do feel bad for is fefe but I was hoping for more creepy/chilling stuff with the slower songs, not so much absolute despair inducement. I was thinking more Coctaeu Twins' Treasure/50s-60s pop death ballads

)
Just take this as a learning experience: in real world demo-shopping, you think about all aspects of the artist while writing. You never have to hire anyone.
