but the name 'Jellyfish' is kinda... idk. that's not a name i was expect a girl group to have but it could become iconic. im here for them so far since their giving me Lovelyz/Oh My Girl vibes with this aesthetic a bit
I'm sure that, in the same universe where Tiffany is the main vocalist of SNSD and Xiumin is the nation's top visual, that may be true, but in reality his singing is passable but messy. His vocal chords don't connect fully, too much air throughout, no concept of a head voice, etc. Suho has kind of a warbly, weak voice but he's capable of some nice mid-range belting and has a surprisingly creamy falsetto that could transition nicely into head voice if he works it. The only thing Chanyeol beats him in is the lower register, which has less to do with Chanyeol being a good singer and more to do with him being a baritone.
Suho can, occasionally, do things.
The girl may have outsung him but at least he's supporting. A little pitchy at parts, but otherwise very nice. Though I agree that whoever does EXO's line division needs to give Chanyeol more singing parts cause his voice is so nice, especially as a contrast to all the high tenors in the group.
+ I feel it's my duty to point out that that Sugarman performance is edited to hell and back.
I agree about Chanyeol's head voice. It's like halfway between hoarseness and singing but it works in favor of his vocal tone. I think of it like Sia's voice cracks being a highlight of her singing voice. As far as Suho, you're right but I feel like he's just someone that can sing well rather than being a singer. Do I make sense? Like for instance, you said he has a warbly, weak voice and I think that's what ruins him a bit for me. Not to be one of ~those~ but there's always this unintentional emotion in Chanyeol's voice that takes his singing to another level and makes up for his lack of range. All it takes is a bit of vocal training and he'd be all set. I mean look at Kai, he sings way better now that he ever did or tried to do in the past lol. Maybe I feel this way bc I was surprised that Chan could sing in the first place + he's my bias.
Also, there's rehearsal footage of the sugarman taping of a different take and he sounds mostly the same.

Jellyfish is not their name lol. It's the company's name. Jellyfish entertainment has VIXX, Seo Inguk, Julien Kang and others.
The rumor is that the concept for the Jellyfish group is like "goddesses on earth."
We have the letter 'G' and then a tiny 'x' and then the number '9.' Nine in Korean is pronounced as 'gu.'
'Jigu' means Earth.
Also, they're all posed in sand for ther debut concept photos.
I am ready!

The group name is tentatively GX9.
oohh okay! i honestly didnt know lol, i just see the photos of them and went along with it tbh. but on that note, i hope it's good and creative. im pretty excited about this group & YGNGG tbh
Because many people said they wanted to hear it I worked hard to sing and post it but I don’t understand people who keep saying “lovestagram", how much did we interact that you can’t think anything more than that. If you hate to see me living while working hard and doing what I love then just don’t enter my instagram, unfollow me and work hard on what you have to do. While we are on this, about following Taeyeon noona, I heard that I appeared in her vid so I looked at the post and when I wanted to hear the sound (tn: in order to hear the sound you have to tap the volume button on the video in order to unmute) I ended up liking the post by mistake. But it seemed weird If I only liked the post so I followed her as well. Then you guys ranted about it so I unfollowed her. As for why I deleted the question mark it was because It looked like my instagram became dirty so I deleted it. We didn’t go to the Seoul Jazz Festival together, we just met there. I deleted “the melody for you" because I didn’t like it after uploading it and I was planning to record it later and upload it again. I don’t have a secret instagram account. Don’t say nonsense in order to confuse my fans I hope that you just work hard doing what you have to do. I will support that. Don’t enter my instagram. Because whether or not SNS is wasting my life or whatever I am enjoying it in my way and communicating happily with people.
What a mess
Yikes
This is probably the most vocal an EXO member has been

To be honest I actually agree with you, I think Chanyeol sounds a lot more emotive and interesting when he sings as opposed to Suho. I much prefer Yeol's tone but it's a separate issue from how good he is. His natural timbre gives me that really pleasant edge that Suho literally has the opposite of cause his voice is so light and creamy. That being said they're both improving tremendously nowadays but Suho is still definitively better, all things considered. He's actually been slaying lately so I don't feel bad for defending him.

His part in Lucky One >>>>
agreed. He sounded really really good during the pre-chorus. Starting to like it more than Monster... which I also really love.
