The more time goes on the more disappointed I am with The Velvet when I realise what it could've/should've been.

They had already sold 400,000 in a little over a month despite being a rookie group from an unknown company. The viral video helped but act like it wasn't selling well is completely idiotic. But you're a Twice fan so whatever makes your faves seem more impressive right?

Also, in G-friend's defence, half the reason the viral video was so helpful to them was that Koreans loved Yuju's determination and commitment to finish the song despite faceplanting like 20 times. & as Khamjong said, MGT was already doing well for such a nugu group. You can't give them no credit.

The mini was not the sound I was hoping for at all, but One Of These Nights is actually kind of amazing. It builds up on you a lot, and is a pretty good ballad all around.

That being said I was really expecting more of an Automatic sound (like most people)

Both Twice and GFriend's singles might not please everyone, but they are well done and catchy songs.

Saying they have no melody/are messy is odd, the structures of their song aren't irregular or full of discord so they blend well enough.

why are you so mad. I'm barely a Twice stan. I mainly think it's unfair how almost everyone in this thread downplays their achievements. GFRIEND had controversy on their side from the let go and it's naive to say no, especially as an SNSD stan.

I just find it amazing how JYP was being proclaimed dying and not part of the big 3 for the last couple of years and Twice turned their image around (with Miss A helping).

Red Velvet don't really need hit singles because they sell albums and all of the members are somewhat relevant individually.

Twice and RV are top 3 though...GFriend's success may have been helped because of their viral video but it's still more impressive imo

When I'm listening to, for instance, Dumb Dumb I feel like the beats are all out of place, and I know they obviously do that for the whole different/edgy factor but I just hate it.
