I can see the downgrade in the animation quality, but the story makes up for it, the most emotional episode in this season
Wished they give Super Sailor Chibi Moon a proper transformation scene, but i guess it's not happening
And Venus has the most wtf attack, give me back my love and beauty shock
And that glimpse of Sailor Saturn in the next episode, finally, my most favorite sailor
Jesus, I'm scared that the quality is dropping like this.
At least they are staying true to the story unlike the first season where the animation was disgusting and they compromised the original plot.
Sigh. This episodes' animation would have passed as acceptable in season 1, but having near flawless animation this season 3, this episode stuck out so much, given the emotion of this episode, it is really distracting
The best Sailor Senshi is about to slay next week. Will they be able to top this scene?
This is honestly my favorite scene from the 90s anime. I always get chills and teary when her pure heart comes out.
I hope they do come through and make her jumping into Pharoah 90 emotional like this
But today's episode was great and got me emotional when Hotaru "died". I am also pressed at how messy they handled Super Chibi Moon's Crisis Make Up... I was hoping her to transform with Sailor Moon or at least her a proper one than that half ass :biblo:
i hate everything about the new episode...the animation was disgusting and the story maybe was true to the manga but i absolutely loath it...what a disaster
One of the best scenes in Sailor Moon history I highly doubt it. Though the story was different from the manga in the old anime, there were parts that I think they could really emphasize and bring out. Having filler and pseudo-filler episodes really helped with that. I love and hate the fact that each season we are getting is just straight to the action because it seems like they are always compromising the character development, this season the Inners are completely useless and have almost no relevance at all, like there's no specific relationship being developed between the inners and outers other than just general distrust and confusion. There's no Mars and Neptune sharing their kind of spiritual connection to things, a weak attempt at Jupiter and Uranus, no mention at all of Venus being the "leader" of the Inners anymore, etc.
Back to last nights episode though...
The animation this episode was atrocious.
Mistress 9 and Hotaru looked especially ridiculous in this episode, I just can't
The EYES
I also feel like, yes they are incredibly beautiful in general now, but things are almost a little bit too bright for this season's atmosphere (which isn't as dark as it was in the original because of how quick it is). Looking at the screen cap from the video I quoted, it was perfect back then even if the coloring was kind of dull.

This scene is amazing, the directing and the music are both on point. It's so emotional.
I doubt Crystal can surpass that.
I found a cleaner and linger version.
Right? I made this face the entire time I was watching
I still can't at Sailor Chibi-Moon temporarily taking down Mistress 9 so easily like that when all four Inner scouts couldn't do squat. Maybe her weakness was just her back though
Can we also talk about Misato Fukuen's lackluster voice acting this entire season? (She plays Chibiusa)
~~~
I think the thing I miss the most from the original that could've easily been included in Sailor Moon Crystal is the entire flawless soundtrack. The transformation songs alone
Y'all can thank the first two arcs of Crystal for the lack of character development.
They were supposed to have funny moments but... I don't even want to talk about those dark times.
Hotaru's seiyuu >>>>
Having to play like three characters at once.
I don't know if there's info released about this but will we get another season?
I liked the episode. I don't know why some of you say the animation was atrocious.
Also, Chibiusa's transformation was perfect. Fast and simple.
We will, this is TOEI we are talking about, we will get a new season even if they have to do the animation in MS Paint.
Compared to the whole season, this episode had the most flaws and the second half of the episode the animation went to the pits.
