Britney had Scream & Shout going into Britney Jean and bombed. Kesha had Timber which did nothing for her career. It's not like Rihanna's ANTI is selling, it did horrible outside US and her tour isn't doing well despite all those hits and a billion features. Features aren't going to do anything for Gaga. And yes, it is riding the success of others since you just want her to collab to get a quick hit for your own bragging mindset. It isn't even about you wanting to see her work with an artist you like, it's just for chart success.
Radio hits isn't the only way to keep your name out there. Gaga has the biggest buzz and attention she's had since 2011 due to appearances and performances all without new music or mainstream radio. That isn't a "deluded" mindset, she's had the most positive press and coverage in years through huge platforms. She's removed herself from the pop sphere and has shown she exists and is appreciated without it through other ventures - be it jazz, tributes, soundtracks, AHS, future movie / acting roles, her political involvement in social messages, simply her as a performer and vocalist, etc... opening her up more than just an act that only exists when they're on radio and featured on hits.

Sis... get of of your stan mind. She's waited too long and lost hype. It would've been smarter for her to release the RedOne/ DJWS/ Fernando single in March with the album back in May like originally planned. Especially now w dance coming back.

"Chart topper" yet you list a record that didn't go #1 or produce a #1 single.

But what else? You have a better suggestion? Releasing a funk album and hoping for acclaim and success?? sounds like a plan. She's not what she used to be and all this ''press'' you're talking about has obviously gone to your head. That won't push her sales. Just give her a good name for a week.
She has no name on radio and hasn't had for about 3 years...is that hard to understand? What will push her singles and album? Her jazz tributes? That sounds more like a plan for Jennifer Hudson

I'm talking about reputation of her public figure, not chart numbers, that is more important.
The things that she has done post 'Artpop' were all great in rebuilt her name.
She didn't become a judge of a lame talent in order to gain popularity like most of the singers did it in the last years also with tragic results (see Mariah at American Idol, tragic), she won her 6th Grammy for a Jazz album and she won a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination.
I'm outside the US and in my country they still talk about her and her songs still are on radios (including the ones from the Artpop era) or tv shows, the situation is not that tragic like you described.
She's not in the Mariah's-Janet-Ciara with a lot of underperforming singles during the years.

Well it's been 5 years since one. TFM was her peak.

She might've rebuilt her name (a little in the US) but it's not enough. You need a good name in radio, the gp, recurrent streams, news, and media. She has what? Media? It's not enough. Don't take my word for it. Just watch

Beyoncé was given for "done" during and after the "4" era, then she managed to comeback with the right project and strategy.
One "underperforming" era doesn't determinate all the next projects.

Don't compare Gaga and BEYONCE. Beyonce had a child and her name was back in the good graces of the GP. Beyonce is a GP darling. Gaga will need to try harder.

She already collabored with Flo Rida. Rihanna would be too much for me.
I would like an Adele / Bruno Mars / Beyoncé / Azealia Banks collab tho.

Gaga's currently working with the best, most innovative people in the industry. Poor others.

She already did, on ARTPOP. And ARTPOP flopped!!!!
JSYK, your "success only" logic dictates people like Meghan Trainor, Panda, and Fifth Harmony are, like, this generation's legends.

ugh who cares if she smashes or not
I just hope she delivers a masterpiece of an album And i really have faith that she will
Whether or not an album tops the charts doesn't necessarily define whether an album is good or not
If she tops the charts...then great...it's just a bonus

Why do we still have Gaga stans obsessed with #1 hits?
Like, it's great if she ever gets another one but she's probably not going to release a song 100% pandering to that goal anymore If you're only looking out for that then you should probably get yourself a new main fave

You missed the point.
By the way, I trust Gaga and her choices, I don't need a hit at every cost to like her, I'm here for her music not for her chart results, if she will have them, great, otherwise not a big deal, she's not gonna end under a bridge.
