I don't care about charts and stuff, I mean it's nice and all, but the only thing I wish for in LG5 is that she does these great (promo)performances again, like during the BTW era. Everything was put together so well: conceptually, visually, sonically,... I just want her to do what she is best at: putting on a ****ing show, no matter if its on tour or on a 4 minute tv slot.

To be quite honest, If she's going for world domination again, she needs to switch everything up. Her style of music and pop music in general isn't what it used to be. Smart of her to go with funk as pop is dead in many ways. Just look at the charts. Honestly i want her to dominate again. The state of her career is sad. She needs to do something great or else she will follow the path of Christina...which i want her to avoid tbh.

Right now the majority of WW hits are not funk- Cheap Trills, This Is What You Came For, One Dance , Faded, I took a pill in Ibiza, etc.
I honestly think that Gaga will flop wih funk music. Just my opinion.

Well they're not really the kind of music gaga makes. And in my opinion she needs to hype herself up. Like...feature on some tracks and get her name out there. Cause she's long gone in the GPs eyes. She needs a RIhanna comeback. A catchy #1 then feature on everyone's songs to keep up the good hype for your upcoming music/ventures

Her career is in the best place it's been since 2011.
Y'all assume #1 singles / radio hits is the end all by all of someone's success, image and career. It isn't. Gaga isn't going to stifle herself just to get a quick disposable #1, she isn't going to copy Rihanna's tactics of featuring on every DJs, rappers, etc... singles and have like six songs in rotation on radio in the hope of one sticking and turning into a hit. And just because the material is "catchy" or upbeat, I don't see why y'all think it's automatically going to be a success. You have Ariana currently struggling to get a hit with Max Martin penned catchy bops that everyone seems to be loving but the charts say otherwise.

The only features we can see Gaga on are with Tony Bennet or something like this. She just does not collab with her peers aside from Beyonce. Her ego is too big.

The actual state of her career is great and solid, she managed to rebuilt her reputation and imagine after the harsh backlash of the 'Artpop' era, that wasn't easy or granted, a lot of fans drag the Jazz album, but that was the best move that she could have done back in the days for her career.

Yeah that's the issue. She can't honestly become her own 2010 self again as it's all faded. She truly needs other collabs to bring her name back. Her own ego and ''artistry'' will be the final nail in her coffin. RIP.

No that's delusional. Her career in the US is somehow restored. She might do 150k first week...but her career is finished outside of the US. She hasn't had any presence at all and people have moved on since 2011. She needs a hit and the only safe way is a collab. Which she just won't do.

I don't see how you're demanding her to ride the success of others through featuring on their tracks then in another breath claiming you don't want her to go down the path of Christina Aguilera who only finds success when she's featured on someone else's track, be it Maroon 5, Pitbull or A Great Big World. But whatever.

Though Christina never used the Features to her advantage. Which era of Christina's was atually happening as the features were. NONE.
Take RIhanna for example. She had work, but got 3 other hits coming with the biggest artists in the industry. All keeping her name good while she's on tour, probably making new music.

I don't care if she flops as long as LG5 is funk and disco. I mean who care about a #1 position (minus the kats and the navy)? She already sold (almost) 130 millions records in pure sales, that's already more than impressive. I'd rather have an album that I love to death than a chart topper.

Also it's not really riding the success of others. Plenty of artists do collabs to hype up their music and to keep people interested. And the one thing Gaga needs atm is HYPE...pretty self explanatory..

This is the way the industry works right now. Gaga isn't beyonce. Give this deluded mindset you have of her career up. She needs everything to keep herself and her name afloat..

NNNNN. Talking about deluded when you called a Golden Globe winner, Oscar nominated entertainer's career a "sad place". The only mindset that needs to go is the mindset that thinks you have to be on top of the charts in order to be relevant. She's not a new artist, she's an acclaimed, established artist whose career is no longer reliant on Spotify streams.

So, Gaga needs features to hype her own music and get people interested in it? Yet Christina had Moves Like Jagger going into Lotus and did worse than Bionic. Britney had Scream & Shout going into Britney Jean and bombed. Kesha had Timber which did nothing for her career. It's not like Rihanna's ANTI is selling, it did horrible outside US and her tour isn't doing well despite all those hits and a billion features. Features aren't going to do anything for Gaga. And yes, it is riding the success of others since you just want her to collab to get a quick hit for your own bragging mindset. It isn't even about you wanting to see her work with an artist you like, it's just for chart success.
Radio hits isn't the only way to keep your name out there. Gaga has the biggest buzz and attention she's had since 2011 due to appearances and performances all without new music or mainstream radio. That isn't a "deluded" mindset, she's had the most positive press and coverage in years through huge platforms. She's removed herself from the pop sphere and has shown she exists and is appreciated without it through other ventures - be it jazz, tributes, soundtracks, AHS, future movie / acting roles, her political involvement in social messages, simply her as a performer and vocalist, etc... opening her up more than just an act that only exists when they're on radio and featured on hits.

NNN no body cares about a golden globe and a oscar nomination. If she can't push those hits and streams. Her career will vanish. Bring up her golden globe win when LG5 can't scan past aluminum

Gaga will FLOP with funk and rock. if she has little influences here and there she'll be fine. Her songs with bloodpop (if it's like what he usualluy does) will do well. Her songs with RedOne could do well. Heck, I'm sure she and Max Martin could make magic together. She should work with Mattman & Robin too. And don't be all "Gaga's too good for Max Martin" not when Max has a 26 year career of hits and slaying. And Gaga had what???? 3 years of slaying? and another 3 of mediocrity?

As far as features: Drake, Kendrick, Rihanna... the only people collabs could work with.
