What he should have done is given Minzy and/or Dara a solo/subunit to keep 2NE1 brand image going, and then announce a full comeback for this year.
The way he has handled it is so unfair for everyone, and the silence is only making Bom's image worse.
I agree the netizens would still post negative comments, but the majority would just forget about it. Look at the reaction to their MAMA awards performance.

I can't believe that someone who runs a top 3 company could let 1 of his groups slip away so easily though...he gave up so quickly you wouldn't even be able to tell that they're 1 of the biggest girl groups ever in k-pop history the way he left this scandal eat them up.
the fact he even let minzy walk out without doing whatever it took to get her to stay, whether it be a solo/sub-unit, some CFs, using his connections to get her on a small variety show/host gig, even a 2ne1 digital single to test the waters regarding Bom.. like wtf
A scandal like this was obviously going to follow her for the rest of her career, but you're supposed to give the GP something else to talk about and ignore the antis/trolls/other gg stans
