I don't see how synchronised evolution is ever going to work.

A. Unless it's only possible with your starter Pokemon to emphasize the "bond" you share... But this seems gimicky & pointless now considering that previous starters already have Mega evolutions and I don't see Pokemon getting both mega & sync evos.

B. Alola is set in the future & they've now discovered a way mega-evolution can take place without "ites". But even this is problematic because on top of the power boosts that megas received, they can now hold power items too.

C. If it works similarly to Ash Greninja in the anime, they would have to program thousands of potential forms with character customization being possible.

I mean... It's pretty obvious they are introducing some sort of new evolutionary mechanic - I just can't wrap my head around what it could be or how they'd make it work.

(Like i said some pages ago) it could be like Pokkens burst mechanic (the stones even look alike). Basically the Pokemon gets a stat boost but doesn't change asthetically or it triggers a mega evolution if a mega tsone is attached

The one thing Game Freak doesn't care about is power balance. That's been pretty clear so I'd almost assume option 'B' is a real possibility.

The Pokemon gets a stat boost the closer your bond but remains aesthetically unchanged?

I just don't see the point in making this an entire new mechanic with its own stones & bracelets when we've essentially been told that Pokemon are stronger when closer to their trainers since day 1. :/

What's weird about that is the fact that Amie basically achieves the same thing. The whole small boost to Evasion and all based on your Affection rating.

Well it is a boost like mega evolution due to heightened connectivity with your Pokemon. You basically sync up with it. (that seems to be the same case with the Synchro evolution in the anime except that Greninja changed aesthetically unlike the Pokemon in Pokken... maybe it was only done so it stood out more).
Basically the closeness/ bond to your Pokemon enables a way to get stronger

This BS though, in game, there's all this dialogue of Pokemon only mega evolving when a strong bond with Pokemon is achieved, but really we can just strap on the bracelet and evolve anything freshly caught
