Those were just rumours. And even if it was true, Rhaegar was already married to Elia Martell which makes this alleged "marriage" illegitimate. Daenerys is stubborn! I'd only see her trusting Jon if he somehow manages to control one of her dragons (I hope they eat him ).

Btw I know that Jon is important but I was just throwing a little shade because it seems to me that I'm the only GoT/ASOIAF fan that doesn't give a flying crap about him! I was praying for him to stray dead, his resurrection had me pressed af.

MESS but I've been saying this for years. If Tyrion attempts to ride one of Dany's dragons, he'd fall off while in the air. Bran however can warg into any kind of animals. Don't forget that the three eyed crow in the first book tells him that he'll never walk again but he'll fly. That's major key right there!!

Tyrion is what Daenerys is missing. She can't rule for **** but she's leader. No one will ever follow Tyrion but it doesn't change the fact that he's extremely smart.

The last two books have plenty of intrigues, interesting new characters and amazing themes such as a true feminist movement in Dorne and a Knight's redemption.

That's certainly one of the most generous descriptions I've heard of the last two books.
I will say that I was miffed about Arianne's absence, but I doubt the show would have done her good, given "you need a bad *****" and everything.

Aerys was always jealous because of Tywin. He was smart, loved and respected by the people and he was married to Joanna. It's also the year, if I'm not mistaken, that Tywin decided to return to Casterly Rock to be with his wife and their children.

But omg I was rewatching some of my faves and came across that scene of Quaithe and Jorah and omg the foreshadowing.



I hope Jorah actually goes to Queen Quaithe and she helps him and stuff offscreen

King's landing is my fav location n it has my fav Lannisters and Tyrells so i didnt think the episode was filler. I can see why ppl would think so though. Ive zero interest in all those minor families, minor regions, minor characters - ironborne, riverborne blah blah blah. Unpopular opinion, id rather have more Dorne than those.

Wasnt it obvious to everyone that Marg is playing her cards to close to her chest based on her dialogue with Loras?

Arya's Braavos subplot was adapted directly from the books so George must have a reason for steering her in that direction. Im sure it will add up nicely in the climax. She's his 2nd fav character behind Tyrion.

This is the 1st season im watching as it airs and I think it's much better than season 5. It was hard to get through the first 6 episodes of that season ugh.

New on ATRL, but have been waching this thread for a while along with the episodes. In fact, I'm kinda new to GOT since I only started watching this season actively. I do know most of the scenes/storylines before that though.

Adding to this, it's common in medieval and especially medieval fantasy fiction for heroes to have a song dedicated to them, retelling their heroism. Doesn't Ned have one for how he allegedly beat that dude at the TOJ to save his sister, plus Tywin's song "reins of castamere", etc. In that regard, the song of ice and fire is quite literally Jon's story (or at least how history will remember it). Given how they handled what happened at the TOJ, I wouldn't be surprised if at some point in the larger conflict Jon and Dany work together to end the WWs, yet history remembers him as the singular hero and her as a villain. It's also possible that even if he does learn his parentage, history remembers him as Jon Stark/Snow, and the song is his and Dany's.
