Oh and it's pretty clear what his eyes are now because of the 3d model and the anime. But the sprite in 3rd gen was looking down. And its a pretty oddly shaped, a rather unique pokemon. So it's not like you had an idea of a common animal in mind to compare it to.

The dots are confusing since they are in a dark hole.

Before anyone tries to clock me with "But Misdreavus / Murkrow..." - we decided to use any Pokemon in their first stage and not ban the Smogon-banned ones (Scyther, Yanma, Swirlix, Tangela, Misdreavus, Murkrow, Sneasel, Gligar and Meditite) because Scyther was useable in the LC in Pokemon Stadium 2. We did however ban Dragon Rage/Sonicboom since it'll be lv5 battles, and we also banned Eviolite because literally everyone would use it otherwise

To be honest the reason I know Gen V is trash is because Tamashii Hiroka stans for it, and that's proof enough right there.
