like the one i was just reading in the very beginning i would've wrote "show, not tell" a bunch of times. like you're not supposed to describe everything about your character's mental state directly at the beginning of the story. you don't say "he was antisocial", you show him being antisocial. characterization isn't just you writing a sentence about a personality trait, you're supposed to indicate that with the story!!! omg
