My thoughts on the trailer:

- Someone on Twitter had a theory that they're may not be tall grass as we know it. On the site, the Pikachu QR Code shows Pikachu's location in a specific bush. This makes me think that a Pokémon may only be found in a specific patch of grass in a route, rather than available anywhere in the given route. That'd be pretty cool.

I don't know how I feel about this. It would also give the Yokai Watch fans even more of a reason to compare and trash Pokemon.

there seem to be so many interesting places in Alola + the idea of outside arena battles.. I seriously love it so much and it's such an awesome and refreshing change to the past generation scenery wise.

While this would be cute, I doubt it. There's only one pokemon center on the western island; 2 on the starting island; 6 on the top right island and 5 on the bottom right island. Seems clear to me that the gyms will be mainly on the right islands with perhaps one or two on the starting one.

Something I just noticed. On the bottom right; there some kind of floating brown raft-like object. Sort of looks like a trap door...

EDIT: matter of fact, it looks like a gym arena. I'm really starting to feel like Karp could be right and the gyms will be outdoors.

that's actually probably where Lunala lives tbh. If you go down the well-like thing. Wasn't it shown underground with light above it in the first trailer? And Solgaleo being the opposite; so it could be in the rock surface. Having two different locations for box legendaries could be... interesting. Wonder if we'll get both now tbh; like Lugia and Ho-Oh in HGSS.

The fact there are three volcanos in this region. They have absolutely NO excuse if we're only able to catch like 5 fire-type mons; as is the norm with most regions. And most of them usually suck

Pretty sure Lunala was at the same place as Solgaleo just was the scene at night (and the sun and moon statues were switched)

You are right and I would love that too but knowing Gamefreak, imma expect Slugma,Magby and probably 2 new fire lines besides Litten

I honestly hope this gen is not filled with old mons unless they have a Mega or a new form or evolution.

So happy their is an ice mountain, we haven't had good ice pokemon since gen 4 so I hope we get at least 2 good ones

Obviously we will get a lot of new water pokemon, and I'm thinking lots of fire because of volcanos and bugs living in the tall trees

It's not that I don't want a big selection, but rather I'd like a strong selection. XY's selection was kind of weak. Boring, common Pokémon we've seen many times for the first chunk of the game, and by the time more useful ones showed up, most people had already had they're teams set in stone. Past games that about 200/300ish in the Regional Dex, but XY had nearly 500, it was a bit too much. I figure they might make nearly every Pokémon available for these games, I just hope the early selection is much more varied and well thought out.
