Hello everyone! I've experimented with foundation, concealers, and even contour and highlight products but I wasn't a fan of having too much on my face or even the feel of it all. Now I'm in the search for a good simple BB cream or tinted moisturizer but I don't even know where to begin
My skin has cleared up a lot and is pretty even now so I just want something to brighten up and bring some life to the face and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations? High end and Drugstore are both fine too!
Also if anyone has any recommendations for concealer, I usually just use it to lighten dark circles a bit! Also my skin is normal (not oily and not dry).

Alright!
If you don't want anything make up oriented. For glowy skin, potent moisturisers (like the ones that come in Jars from La Mer, Laura Mercier, Estee Luader etc) and spray Mac Fix + before and after your makeup.
If you want something make up oriented. Using a Violet/Purple color corrector concealer over areas you want to make highlighted. (Do this before you apply your BB cream). Also a nice highlighter does the job too (I love Anastasia's highlighter!)
If you want some naturally rosy cheeks, get the lip stain from benefit and apply a dab on your cheeks and blend, it'll make it look like you're blushing.
Concealer: NARS liquid concealer is my all time fav, but i also love Makeup Forever HD. But, one of the best concealers I've heard about (which i need to get) is a drug store one called Maybeline instant age rewind.

Oh my thank you so much for replying! This is super helpful and I can't wait to try out some of these products and techniques! The Mac Fix + is definitely something I'll have to check out as well as the corrector concealer! It has really been a struggle trying to figure what I need to incorporate and this will help me out a lot! Also thank you for being super informative and taking the time write type this out!

Definitely Mac Fix + is a must, especially if you didn't like the feel of contouring/highlighter make up on your face

They should discontinue every other brow pencil in the planet apart from Anastasia's, its so fantastic; so worth the hype.
And has anyone ever used the Clarisonic makeup thingy before? Its so good, but why the eff would they recommend that for 2x a day? more like 4x a week.

Really? Makeup Forever has so much variety imo. Do you mean powder or liquid?
Whats your skin tone?

I am a hardcore Makeup Forever foundation fan, never changed it..
Until last week, i got the dior spray foundation and its so lightweight, i love it.

Products that i haven't tried but heard are excellent are:
- 2 Faced Born This Way Foundation
- Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk
- NARS All day Luminous Weightless Foundation

Or you can get a tinted moisturiser/BB Cream if you're more into balancing your skin tone instead of coverage.

I'm a drugstore child and I stay finding cheaper dupes since brands like Mac, Urban Decay, even Colourpop (which many people find affordable) are pretty expensive here. I might try them in the future, out of curiosity. I enjoy what I have since our local brands (and European in general) have really stepped up.

I only tried their bronzer and it wasn't very good but I've heard good thing bout the blush so hopefully it works good for you

Ugh that's sad about their bronzer and thank you! Yes everyone says it's woC friendly which makes me happy because dark skinned people tend to stay away from blush

There are a couple of YouTube, which pretty much all say the same thing. His highlighters are some of the most intense and pigmented that they've ever tried but some of them aren't necessarily finely milled (such as the shade I posted, but I don't mind at all because I LOVE seeing the gold flecks in my highlighter). I have swatches (I waste so much time every single day swatching my makeup on my hand bc it's so FUN) of the 2 shades I have if you're interested. These highlighters are miles better than the ones from my ABH Glow Kit!

For contouring i am obsessed with the NARS Kabuki brush.
Highlighting with the Kat Von Dee Shade & Light Brush
and Bronzing with Bobbi Brown Bronzing brush.
Rest i do with a beauty blender.
