Mega Blissey is a perfect example of why I don't think we'll get a bunch more Mega Evolutions.
Its HP currently has a base stat of 255 - that's the technical limit placed on any stat by the games. Mega Blissey can't have more HP in theory because the way that base stats work, base 255 is the cap.
That doesn't matter since none of the Megas have their HP base stat changed anyway.
When you guys choose your favorites do you go based on design/cuteness alone or do you factor in usability and how strong it is (to a certain extent)? I like a mix of both honestly

And how many besides Audino specifically focus on the HP stat?
It's not like they could just raise Blissey's defenses without making it the most broken tank the game has ever seen. They can't raise its attacks or speed because that would essentially be useless.
It's just Mega that probably can't happen at all, and it's not the only one.

I like a variety, tbh. great designed mons & also mons w/great movepools. Some mons mighg not look the most appealing but they get great moves/great coverage, etc.

I agree that raising ha defenses would probably be too much, but even then that's just one Pokemon. And that's probably the only logical thing keeping it from getting a Mega, but we can't say that it can't/won't happen for sure based on only that, imo.
I mean, it wouldn't be first broken Mega we get. Just look at Mega Rayquaza.

I use both as well but there are some instances when the Pokemon looks so nausea-inducing and horrifying that I just can't stan for them despite great stats/movepools/utility (like Heatran and Diggerzby)
So I'm doing a play through on Alpha Sapphire and oh my Joltik is becoming one of my favorites. Never used it before and decided to hatch one for my team, she's such a beast. Just evolved into Galvantula now and is even more of a beast, but I loved seeing my little Joltik k.o all her bigger rivals.
Now where they COULD introduce some more Mega Evolution is Unova. We literally have one, and since Hawaii is in the same country (however far away) as New York, it's not unreasonable to expect Alola and Unova to have some sort of relationship.
Talking about playthrough's, Clair just dragged me on HG.
So I'm just back to grinding for some level up moves until I battle her again.
The Gym Leaders I actual had trouble with were Whitney, Morty, Pryce and Clair. Chuck was more or less cause of that Double Teaming Primeape.
Poor Gen VI!
Playthroughs? Well, I'm grinding before I tackle the Opelucid Gym - I was only Lv. 41-43 before I started so I was definitely going to get dragged. Here's my final, flawless Unova team that I think will take me through the League:
This might actually be one of the most solid in-game teams I've ever put together, once I get the move sets right.

I wanted to use an Alomomola but the fact that she has no access to regenerator turns me awf.
She's kind of a brilliant in-game choice though. All three Water HM's for B2W2, access to Ice Beam for Iris, and you can erase Dive/Waterfall to relearn Protect and Wish before you challenge the League. Plus that HP and the solid Defense.
I think leveling up is just easy in Unova with Audino being a thing. I've only got 21:35 on the clock so far, making this my fastest run on average since like Platinum, and I'm not even intentionally trying to go fast.
