Yeah you're totally right. It's really dangerous and I hope a scandal like this will never happen...like people need to realize that it's so risky and most likely will not end well at all. It's more than just your fave coming out... It's a massive deal. Obviously we'd all like more openly gay artists but it's just not safe right now.

Wait, when was the Jessica thing? I remember hearing about it/seeing it, but I thought I didn't get into k-pop fully until after she left the group.

And yeah I agree with the gay idols thing, sure it'd be great to have representation but it genuinely could destroy their career and turn out terribly. I think it'll be great when we get there, but at the moment I'd be fearful for them, especially if they were outed rather than coming out on their own terms.
