It is disheartening seeing all the comments made whether racist, sexist, colorist, or homophobic etc. Just off the top of my head all these major groups have had multiple messy moments (Super Junior (the GOAT ), Big Bang, SNSD, Block B, EXO, 2NE1, BTS, Red Velvet, Mamamoo, Girls' Day, f(x), Miss A, SHINee, 2PM, BEAST, etc). But a lot of times there is really no point in hanging it over their heads 24/7. If you wanna stop stanning a group over it then I guess that's your prerogative. I'm not gonna excuse it but it's not worth me dwelling over when a lot of the stuff us i-fans write don't even get back to them.

i honestly don't really care about if someone is problematic or whatever. i mean yeah, like KORDEI said, as a poc its not great to see or hear things like that, but usually it goes over my head/i'll just shake my head and move on.
cause i know ive done messy things & said messy things in real life & so have many other people so i'll never hold that against them. & plus, it's a different culture so that goes into things as well.

idk, i just keep on track with all the happy & positive things that go on within my fave groups & artists so i try to keep the negativity down & below. they all make great music and even with messy or "problematic" music, their still great artists and at the end of the day, the rest is just, blah.

Key has many stories that people made up just so people could hate him, the obsession at least proves what I said in my earlier posts
Lemme say that Yuri and Key are great friends, Key only wants the best for LGBT members and even has a ring of the transgender symbol, has great interactions with poc people, would never try to hurt someone on purpose (heck he is the biggest crybaby in SHINee with Jong so he is sensitive as **** and he went/goes through depression), is a feminist

he's not perfect and he might have a slip, and if you choose to hate him on stuff from YEARS ago until now or because of something else its your choice and I can't do anything about it. I love my fave and understand he said stupid comments in the past

Korea isn't exposed to the social problems the west is so not many people are gonna be educated on the matter. Should the idols be saying/doing those messy things? No, but since it's acceptable/not offensive in the culture they've been brought up in it and no one in Korea is making a fuss about it, they won't notice any problems with their behaviour.

You just have to take it as it is as a kpop fan and don't assume everyone is a bad person just because they've done something that isn't consider wrong in their country. The change will come one day, but we can't expect the whole nation to evolve in a year when it took America, a multicultural/multinational country, decades to get to the point we're at now.
