X-Men is the best selling comic book of all times. It is responsible for saving marvel through the 90s. The animated series paved way for other cartoon series like Spiderman etc. Finally the first film paved way for current superhero film. Xmen deseves more respect tbh.

I've seen the film twice and it does not deserve the negative reviews it's getting. It's worrisome because they know they have some power to kind of destroy a films potential.

I'm so pumped for the 90s sequal.

People need to give up on X-Men ever joining the MCU. The most that I ever see happening is them working jointly with FOX on a future film, but to completely absorb X-Men? No. MCU is already bloated to hell and back, FOX wouldn't give up the money (esp after Deadpool), and, logistically, MCU has already booked the next 100 yrs on their slate, they couldn't dedicate the necessary time and energy on X-Men. All they would end up doing is sprinkling characters across their already existing universe.

+ X-Men is far too established for them to reboot it like they did with Spiderman & Fantastic Four. If audiences are already confused with X-Men continuity, this would just completely send them over the edge.

I think if Deadpool didn't breakout like it did Fox probably would be considering a deal with MCU... but nah, let's not. I like the X-Men franchise and it doesn't really need to be connected with that world to be honest. It'd be cool if they could've got Wolverine for the Avengers but that's it.

Alice didn't even hit 30 million this weekend. Could those people have seen X-Men instead? Possibly but who knows.

Hopefully they announce the next film before the year is over, Singer announced Apocalypse 6 months before DOFP came out.

I just watched this.
Screaming at Jubilee having more screen time than Storm's powers
It was ok, but I can see why it got lashed. Literally nothing happens during the first hour after the Acient Egypt intro, it only gets good until Apocalypse gets Xavier. It also has plenty of pacing issues. Like, Psylocke appears and disappears out of nowhere during the big battle
And the ending with the PF felt so forces, mess. The post credits scene was cute.
Also, I thought Mistyque saved Wolverine from Stryker in DOFP. What happened?

animal control is always a low key mess in films, i swear they can never get the CGI right for animals attacking humans, especially birds. Thank god polaris wasn't the one killed

Mess it sounds tragic when you put it that way. At least Xmen has WW numbers on lock.

I think Xmen suffered from super hero fatigue. Two team films in less than a month from each other is def a prob.

The franchise is fine tho. As long as the next film isn't fantastic 4 tragic.

Thank Allah Scarlett Witch wasn't killed either. The real "X-Men" one, not the trashy Disney Marvel-MCU one.
The Dark Phoenix saga is overrated (it's not, really); waiting for the EPIC M-Day storyline.
