Because this is what HDD does, they get first day sales data and make fairly accurate projections, they've been doing this for years...

Didn't Beyonce sell 80K in like 3hrs only with her surprise album...Singles and youtube views/streams don't mean anything if at the end the people don't think you're worth their money... That's why music bands are more succesfull than pop girls. They have a real impact on their fans. The only pop acts selling albums are Taylor, Adele and Beyonce...

Cute, but this is probably their peak so yeah...

The industry is dying because the acts are basic nowadays, nothing is an event anymore, when you do make an event out of your release you get great sales (Beyoncé, Adele, Drake, Taylor,...)

I agree with this; but I think that people are making fan of their sales because of how annoying sometimes their most crazy stans can be; and how much time they spent downplaying LM's sales and charts positions.

Isn't a top hit supposed to promote and boost album sales... People are ready to stream your song and bop on them but not spend a penny on you... You don't have to be a genius to get what it means. Social medias are fooling alot of "artists" into thinking they have a strong following... It takes more than cute selfies and RTs to have loyal fans that believe in what you do and a real impact in pop culture.
