Apocalypse reminds me of Age Of Ultron. They both underrated films, both introduce important characters (Wanda, Vision, Cyclops, Jean, Nightcrawler), both impact in future movies, but it's like people don't like them because they are not as good as they previous installments and also there's no big resolutions in them.

I love both.

Age of Ultron is a horrendous movie. That 30-minute party scene where they all did smalltalk with each other. The Avengers once again just battling an army of minions the entire time instead of the actual villain.

Can't agree with you here sister, Apocalypse is a miles better film.

I was kinda of disappointed with Apocalypse.

I thought that it wasted so much opportunities to develop the "new" team. The whole mall scene being cut And the whole Wolverine scene was so unnecessary, why must he be in every movie? Weapon X will be used for W3? It will happen then in the 80s or 90s or after Immortal/DOFP? It was just reference?

Plus Psylocke just being there just being evil and barely speaking or having a plot/motivation. Jubilee tho, being turned into an extra. They just repeating the Quicksilver scene from DOFP and making it bigger and longer. And the whole Professor X/Apocalyspe mind battle could be used for an epic scene and they just punch each other.

The cast was great tho, Fassbender SLAYED. And seeing the real Phoenix in the end gave me chills.

I am just confused with the timeline tho. Does the first 3 movies still count?

Apprently Jlaw has a contract with Fassbender and James that if one of them doesn't get to come back for a film, none of them do. I don't know how true this is though.

WIth how it's doing kinda eh in the US it'd have to do 350ish WW to reach 500 million. Doable since it's already made 130 million overseas but China is a big question mark.

surely we have no idea how its going to do WW/US yet, good word of mouth could keep it slow and steady rather than front loaded.

If you go in wanting to critic a film you will find things to critic. A second viewing is a must not only for this but for every film. Critics go in with a certain mindset and that becomes unfair imo.

girl they can't reboot it If spider man/Fantastic Four has shown us anything its that people are over reboots and watching the origin of characters over and over, we want to see established members.

- Just a reference the W3 film will take part in the future, its heavily rumoured to be old man logan story line.

- The quicksilver scene was very different though, instead of "attacking" like in DOFP he was saving people who were in real danger.

- Well we can probably safely assume that the whole of X3 no longer counts, but the first 2 films will have parts that are still cannon potentially, we won't know for sure though until another future film.

I dc about anything u say sweetheart! In the end of the day u stay seething that critics panned it and its doing poorly commercially... Thats why some franchises cant move forwards because they have delusional stans shielding them..

I was really impressed with the gore in apocalypse, like it was so refreshing to see people actually really hurt and killed in horrible ways, the way they would if these powers were real.
Unlike Marvel films where no blood is split and the bodies just drop to the floor and look untouched

The next year or so will be very interesting after this box office weekend. Things behind the scenes will definitely be shifting after this box office weekend.

Hopefully they don't do a hard reboot getting rid of the actors we have since they are good.
