Oh I don't include the remakes in the gen they were made I include them in their region (so for me gen 2 is GSC & HGSS)

In that case gen 4 is clearly GOAT and ORAS saves gen 6 from being the worst.

Maybe some people just like the old graphics more or are just nostalgic to it.

Don't get me wrong, I love HGSS too, but GSC was "easier" as I don't have to care about nature. Also, I used to play Silver while watching the anime and try to catch everyone Ash use lol, so maybe because of nostalgic I enjoy gen 2 more than the remake.
