Um, are you serious? I hope you're speaking to quite a bit of the Hillary supporters who constantly hate on Bernie and his supporters in this thread. It's consistently happening here, and many of them pretty much rag on the Bernie supporters in the thread for having wrong ideologies and agreeing with him.

Yes. Part of why I am pissed is because they've turned what was supposed to be the easiest primary in history for a non-incumbent candidate into a drawn out, divisive war of ideology that threatens Democratic chances in November. I am also pissed as a die-hard Hillary supporter, in particular, that HER chance and what WE have been waiting for for years, having been told it was inevitable and thinking that the majority of Democrats were fine with it, has been challenged. I will own that fact. Part of my disdain for Sanders at the moment is very much the simple fact that he ran against Hillary. Part of it is that his continued running against her could damage her shot at the Presidency that I have envisioned and dreamed of for the better part of a decade. I had expectations and plans and he disrupted them. I won't lie and say this is not a factor.

I'm sorry, but seriously, get over yourself. I have respect for you as a mod, but this is such terrible reasoning. First off, there will always be opposition in the primaries, regardless of the party. Secondly, no one should ever believe that someone's candidacy is inevitable because that sets someone up to blind expectations that may or may not come true, to varying extents. Third, if someone is unhappy with how the government and an establishment is being handled, then why not challenge it?
I understand that you're upset, but this is coming off like a petulant child.

I'm sorry, guys, but you walked into the presidential primary expecting nothing but an inevitable win for Hillary (which is happening). You're completely refusing the idea that she got challenged by another person whom people liked, respected and trusted. You think Hillary somehow 'deserves' this, when, she really just has to work for it (which she did, and she did a good job). You're taking party loyalty over what the people are trying to voice; the truth is, nearly half of the Democratic Party, and almost half of the states in the union, voted for a 74 year-old socialist Jew from Vermont who wasn't a Democrat up until a couple of months ago over Hillary Clinton. Clearly, there's a frustration with the system and that's a platform that needs to be spoken about and worked on. Yes, he lost the nomination to Hillary Clinton and she deserves every single credit for running that strong campaign, but, his message is not losing and it has been permanently stamped as a signature in the hearts of millions; people want to see change in the government, they want big money out of politics, they want transparency, they want a lot of things and I don't think we need to be throwing tantrums and someone who raised all of these issues, got the younger base involved, and nearly half of the Democratic Party on board (despite not being a Democrat for 99% of his life, being a 74 year-old socialist from Vermont) just because you were registered Democrat longer than he was. It's shallow, it's materialistic, there are other things you could be thinking about and working on.

This is very true. I came into the election, probably voting for Hillary in the primaries to see her win it all. Then, Sanders kinda popped up from nowhere for me, and I did my due diligence as a voter and saw his platform and views. To my surprise, Sanders' platform matched more with my ideals and beliefs than Hillary's. I didn't think he'd win, but I wanted to throw my support to someone who I believed would be a great president for me. His movement grew very rapidly amongst millennials, which was also very surprising to me. Then again, I guess I'm one too. Regardless, I'm very glad that Bernie's running shed some light on some party issues.
