But like, let's abstain from voting or go for Jill, with full knowledge that this increases the chances of the sexist, racist billionaire who'd like the US to file for bankruptcy being elected. Because that will solve our problems.

This type of thinking is why third parties can't grow, third-party voters are consistently shamed when they want to vote for the "candidate who won't win and would hurt X's chances and help Y get elected!!!!!"
"Do you really want BUSH in the White House??? Welp then voting Green would hurt Kerry's chances."
"Do you really want McCain in the White House??? Welp then voting Green would hurt Obama's chances."
"Do you really want Romney in the White House??? Welp then voting Green would hurt Obama's chances."
"Do you really want Trump in the White House??? Welp then voting Green would hurt Hillary's chances."
Let it GO. If people have their faith in somebody with very little chance, then let it be, even if that person getting a good chunk of votes means it's hurting a Democrat's chance in getting the White House. People should cast their votes with conviction and they should throw their vote into the ballot box for the person they believe in, not the person they were shamed into supporting.
The Green Party receiving 5%+ of the vote this November means they start becoming eligible for federal aid and they can finally start pouring more money into campaigning and reaching out to as many audiences as possible. I'd also love for Jill to make it to the debate stage with Trump and Clinton, but we all know the corporate media would never let that happen.
