I have exams next week and I really wanna save the movie till after, as a kind of celebration and so I can watch it guilt free, but It comes out in like 9 hours here
I've always been obsessed with the X-Men franchise, but I think the main issue that comic book fans have is the misuse of the characters.
MCU develops all characters to an extent & gives them all a significant moment to shine. Whereas you only get 1 or 2 main important characters per X-Men film. DOFP's BEST scenes were in the future, with the entire team working as one. If they find a way to accomplish this then they'd be fine.
Other than that I love the films but they gotta do better.
#XMenApocalypse is a magnificent film. Better than Captain America Civil War or X-Men Days of Future Past. 9.5 out of 10. #MustWatchMovie
I just watched the midnight screening. After the movie has ended it even got a round of applause from the audience.
Its a great mixture of drama and action. It may not be in the level of DOFP when it comes to the drama or serious type which has complex or Oscar bait type of scenes where actors like Fassbender McAvoy Lawrence are throwing acting chops nor the kind of action scenes you get with X3 or MCU films that has more than enough time of action sequences
I must say the reviews are NONSENSE. I was expecting it to be BAD or even worse than X3. Turned out to be better than X1 X2 FC and to DOFP if you prefer less drama and more action
Only problem I got is the latter part the action sequences should be longer like the XMen vs Horsemen scenes. It is not that short but it is not that long too. Or maybe we were deprived of action scenes from the past XMen that the only way to satisfy is to get a very long action scenes just like the airport scene in Civil War which felt like it ran for 30 minutes.
The thing that made me say it is better than Cap America CW is that the it is not tiring bloated or stretched to watch. It keeps you want more. CW is more polished refined but if you look the idea the backbone it seems thin. The story or plot is thin. Really to be stretched that long is tiring. Ironman finding out that the one interviewing at the end is dead or replaced. The scenes also felt repetitive like the underpass and airport scene.
With XMen Apocalypse its opposite the story is larger and wider. Plot is definitely better tho the execution is not as polished or refined. There are many plots by the way. Many issues. It is not isolated or internal as Cap America.
So if you are eating at a buffet Cap America offerers an ALL MEAT favorite belly pleasers with infinite supply and you ate them all until you got bloated while XMen Apocalypse offered variety of food with just enough servings but not enough to make you have a sin of gluttony.

But one thing is for sure IT IS THE BEST XMEN FILM
on par with DOFP or even better if you enjoy more action like me.
Better by a mile than X1 X2 FC
X3 is not worthy to be compared to this one
