According to Academy songwriting is not just writing down the words, but also melodies. And Gaga did just that, Diane mentioned it many times how Gaga changed the direction of the song, made it more emotional and vulnerable. Besides, Gaga never said she actually wrote the words.

Anway Rihanna is on Max Martin list at the top of artists who he'd want to work with so I guess we'll know Rihanna didn't run to him if it happens.
It wasn't really surprising. Taylor had been dropping hints for a long time leading up to the work on Red that she wanted to learn from Max Martin. I see her as his protege.
