Regardless of whether or not she made it up, she's essentially smeared Luke's name to the point that J. Lo bombed and Meghan Trainor had to issue a public statement. The world hates him and in the court of public opinion she's won. The longer he holds her the worse he looks. She destroyed the mans career for interfering with her art. If that's not a smart, backhanded move I don't know what is.
