I'm still shocked of how they booked all these stadiums across Europe.
Not even Madonna, which grossed over 300M with her latest tour, didn't book such stadiums with her Rebel Heart Tour.
No wonder they had to cancel two stadium shows in the UK already. Seems like they were doing really bad, considering how the cancellation of a show for such a big name, like Rihanna, can only hurt her reputation.
Usually, when shows from such big artists aren't doing well, they are moved to smaller arenas. Cancellation only occurs when there's no other choice left because of the low number of tickets sold.
Rihanna IS a big touring artist. You have to be delusional to not agree with that, but the decision her team made to book all these stadiums was simply delusional.
Me, as a lot of other people, would likely prefer to see an artist in an arena, where you get to be closer to them, the access isn't that hard, the atmosphere is more intimate, the sound and the lighting are better, instead of going to a half sold stadium show, only booked by the artist for the sake of showing what a reputable touring act he is.
As I said, if Madonna, the biggest female touring act EVER, didn't insist on booking such shows, why would Rihanna? And why with ANTI? If I' m not mistaken, they booked even more stadiums than they did last time with the DWT, while last time she had a very successful era, with two worldwide smash hits.

Exactly. It's silly to want to go to a stadium show with the costs of tickets to pop shows nowadays. Taylor and Beyonce were charging $150 and $300 to sit in the back section of the floor, it's such a hard sell when those people know they'll be seeing nothing but screens.
Ticket prices also come into effect, even with arena shows and gauging all the prices nearly the same didn't make sense. Who wants to sit in the nosebleeds for $150 when the people are sitting rows away from the main stage for the same price.

I only got tickets because I couldn't get tickets to Adele and Beyonce. Sigh. Well atleast the stage looks nice.

It says for the 29th but it's probably both dates since the venue is not that big.

It's interesting to see how Poll Star is such a reliable source now yet, when they were reporting numbers for the DWT you all called their numbers fraudulent
Some artists have entire sections that were empty and the venues were tweeting about tickets being available hours before the show but, a source is reporting the shows as sold out.

Yeah, I agree... I mean, they booked 5 huge stadiums in Germany (250,000+ capacity). I don't even know who would be able to sell out those 5 stadiums at the same time nowadays... They should've mix arenas + some stadiums from the beggining in Europe...

She's actually doing extremely well in Germany considering the fact that she booked 4 stadiums here

How did they "grossly" overestimate when tickets were added the day of the shows and the shows were still at over 90% capacity?

No, the venue holds less than 10,000 people. J-Lo boxscores were never reported tho. Those Wikipedia ones are fake.

Mandalay Bay is not the same venue as the MGM Grand.
Max capacity at Mandalay Bay is 12,000.
