It's her best and most solid effort to date.
It seems to be Teenage Dream sequel, not other, more independent record in writing and production style.
She growned up with every new album.
Katy Hudson was forgettable religious copy of Alanis Morissette, "Jagged Little Pill".
One of the Boys is simply mainstream pop rock effort of 00's. Honest, but bland soundtrack for teen movies with low budget. Musical necrologue in memory of Ashlee Simpson, Avril Lavigne, Hilary Duff, Liz Phair and Lindsay Lohan's captivating career years on stage.
Teenage Dream is a blueprint of pop music culture in 2010: sleezy electropop with mostly party and motivating lyrics.
Teenage Dream: Complete Confection was good commercial decision, but cheap package: one new song, bland remixes, cold remastered demos from past. Now it seems to be more "Part of Me: 3D" promotion piece, not just decision to beat ancient Michael Jackson's Hot 100 record.
PRISM is more grown, non cohesive nostalgic 90's cliché pop record with little potential to be original and big desire to stay on the top of charts.
KP4 could be another part of Teenage Dream with more genre variety, but idk.
Capitol and Perry is afraid to lost general public, like Gaga, when she changed her image in Born This Way.
We'll see, how much Katy can exchange her sound, not only lipstick color.
