There's a difference between debuting at #1 and failing to even go 2x platinum in pure sales AND debuting at #10 with a song that was "released" a few weeks prior to its debut because it wasn't on iTunes and dropping out of the top 10 the following week (while the video remains private btw).

Sorry but these sound like excuses. Tons of artists have huge albums and longevity with their hits. It happens every year. Adele and Taylor (who the Hive claim Bey is as big as) do that every release. Rihanna is doing that now actually. ANTI and Work were Top 10 together. Formation should have spend more than one week inside the Top 10, and so its more frontloaded than any Brit hit.

Yes. I haven't checked in a while, but YB gets like 45k daily views (average) while Britney's single that debuted at #1 gets like 25k.
