Sugar was a hit and Adam has much less star power and the Birthday lyric video has like double the views of the official video, if it had a better video then it would've done much better
TIHWD was obviously a song Katy wanted as a 5th single since the start. She put so much into it and it was very relevant to her at the time (the Riff Raff influence, the songs practically describing her and her tacky group of deadbeat friends). Birthday was label chosen though and ruined the era but they had to get a choice after she got Uncle
I remember hearing it on the radio everyday during Summer 2011 (aka the best summer ever) It's such a feel good song and so catchy, hoping Queen Katy snatches the Song of The Summer again this year
