Yeah, it doesn't seem likely tbh. Her whole vibe is not giving me "I got an album finalized and ready to be out in 3 months".
I HOPE that her era starts this year though. She can release the lead in September and the album in November. She won't be on The Voice, so more time for promo and other obligations, and she can always perform there, possibly even twice, and premiere her video. They're very well aware she built the show.

That's true. Q4 is rumored to be crowded. But if she releases a really good song and promotes, I think she can do it. 2015 was empty, but she missed her chance and now she'll inevitably deal with P!nk, Gaga, Bruno, Britney, Justin, maybe even Katy. I don't know if she should release before them or after them though. What's better?

If she releases her first single and/or album after the September cut-off, she will have better Grammy odds. Beyonce and Adele already have a lock on this year's. But releasing in a crowded Q4 will still give her steep competition.
At this point, however, she has 6 Grammys so I'm not really concerned that much anymore with critical acclaim. I just want her to release some good music.. and soon.
The performance has high potential to go viral. It would be a great opportunity if the performance aired next week to bring national attention back to her vocals followed by her first single release/performance on the Voice finale.
I've learned to no longer hope or anticipate new music from her but it's a nice idea at least...

I'm okay with the hologram as long as it's tastefully done. It's great that Whitney is being immortalized in this way, but I hope it isn't being used as a platform to create a Whitney tour.
Her family were in the audience so they've gave their blessing at least.
