The debate over their record on gay rights is irrelevant now. We've been talking about this for about a year now. Obviously nothing new will come from the discussion.
How about we talk about what's next? Like how Hillary has a plan to end conversion therapy or how Bernie wants to end discrimination by bankers who deny LGBT loans, mortgages, and credit cards.
Mess at the latino Bernie BROs for blaming Hillary for the death of other people ...I wouldn't be surprised if they also blame Hillary for the death of Selena

Well she's going to need more than conversion therapy for Bernie Sanders supporters to back her.

Well Hillary has a more well thought out agenda on all the same issues Bernie is arguing about so this comment makes no sense. Maybe if his supporters would get out of their asses and assess both candidates entire record and future plans then maybe they would see she is just as good as he is.
"Not winning" doesn't mean we shouldn't be clearing up his record that in fact is comparable to Clinton's and should rightfully be compared to Clinton's. "Winning" doesn't pull you down to lower standards of judgement. If anything, it makes the standards higher.
Repeatedly saying that someone is "winning" is a terrible counterargument, "winning" doesn't clear your record, "winning" doesn't mean you shouldn't be held accountable for the things you've supported, "winning" only means more delegates have been awarded to you based on votes. That's it.
BYE. The only ones arguing about his record are his supporters. No one cares. He's lost. His record doesn't matter compared to HRC's because she's already won. What battle are you trying to win here? The back and forth is ridiculous. He's not a factor anymore in the POTUS race. Move on and stop fighting over "issues" that no one cares about reiterating but YOU. Her record compared to Trump's is ALL that matters at this point.

You know, I think both of them are going to be more than great at handling LGBT issues as president, that's something I'm very confident and happy about.
I just don't like seeing Bernie's record get diminished and disregarded here, especially when we're talking about particular issues where I feel like he stands out in comparison to Hillary on, even if they currently have similar or identical stances.

In Spanish when we're embarrassed for someone else we say 'pena ajena'...
She'll snatch the state with most Latinos soon enough

I actually agree. Bernie has always been on the right side of history (other than his gun record of course). I simply hate how people give her hate, but praise Bernie and even Obama when those two both didn't want gay marriage. She too has advocated for basic human rights in all forms, and that is overlooked, particularly by Bernie supporters who deny she ever fought for them.

What the ****?
^ This is the type of stuff Bernie supporters have to go through constantly, and it's quite sickening. No one's voice should be belittled because someone is winning, no issue should be neglected because someone is winning, no record should be looked away from just because someone is winning, no candidate should be disdained just because their opponent is winning.
This rhetoric is a form of suppression, it's unacceptable. These aren't the forward-looking rules that even Secretary Clinton herself abides by. This isn't the mature way to handle debates. This isn't the right way to bring other people in to support your candidate. This isn't a pop-music thread.

This thread is about the US Election. Trump is the Rep. nominee and HRC will be the Dem. nominee. Their comparative records should be the ONLY ones that matter in this thread, about the US POTUS election. No one cares about your alleged oppression. I'm sure there's a politics thread somewhere for you to go discuss Bernie's record, which as I've stated, doesn't matter in here cause he's not winning anything, period.
HRC v. Trump is all that needs to be discussed, unless someone makes Bernie a VP candidate. Hope to God no one does though.
I'm ready for the election debates. HRC is going to drag, Trump is going to make an abundance of hilarious faces while not actually discussing any issues or policies, meanwhile attacking HRC for being a woman who got cheated on. Can't wait.

This is so wrong, all of it.
Secretary Clinton is not the Democratic nominee until voted so by the delegates at the end of July at the convention or until she reaches the magic number. Otherwise, she's still running a primary against Senator Sanders and we will continue to discuss and contrast their records as long as the primary cycle is still being conducted with both of them being in the race.

This thread will be used as the official 2016 election thread. Direct all news regarding the election here. This can also be used as a base thread for all politics but try to keep it to the US.
So like, even after the convention in July, we may continue to discuss Secretary Clinton's record, and even maybe contrast it to various senators, perhaps Senator Sanders even!
