I said check for the meaning!! Vanity label doesn't mean it's just for vanity! It means the parent label ie Sony/Columbia has given the artist complete control over what they want to do creatively and to an extent business wise but ultimately the product ie the masters still belong to them!
Hence that report about tidal having to pay Sony rights fee for bey's music!
That's how it has always been with artist that are still under contract and formed their own labels!

Lol not really! Rihanna is actually independent and on her owm label now, for the umpteenth time, ricnatuon is employed by her for management and distribution and just like Kylie fired them, rih can part ways anytime she wants!

Its hilariously sad how bad you want Rihanna to have to answer to Jay. Z. When in reality before the album even came out it was announced Rihanna was releasing on her own.
