I like Rihanna, but TV performances are so insignificant in the grand scheme of things, it's not worth mentioning. Radio airplay is 100x more important.

One Dance will be #1 regardless of whether it's performed on TV or not

One Dance and Panda don't even have music videos. All they need is, yes, that's right, RADIO AIRPLAY! Even Sorry and Love Yourself didn't get official music videos, they only had the dance videos. And Work reached #1 without a music video in its 1st week. So that's 5 out of 7 #1s this year without a proper official music video.

Couldn't agree more. Tv performance without airplay means nothing. Airplay without a tv performance and you can have the biggest song of the year no problem.
