It was before the convention but yes it was pretty late. Either way I think it's important for him to stay in as long as both campaigns soften their tone and get back to a policy oriented campaign

She did not do the same. She never explicitly said he was unqualified. She never even alluded to it.
That's not "dirty laundry" those are false attacks made by misrepresenting the facts. Dirty politics
And those words were not racist and she has, multiple times, apologized for it and he still came for her for a bill he voted for
