Drake isn't doing street **** (a la Meek). Instead, he's doing Dancehall and Pop and he's striving because he's working outside of his zone.
I understand what you're saying, but I don't agree with the whole "release a hardcore Rap album" as if that makes sense musically in 2016.
I don't think Drake makes music that is THAT much better than Nicki's. He only stomps her because of sexism in hip-hop.

Females in hip-hop/rap have it harder than females in any other genre. I mean, just read the comments being posted in SYG about Nicki, Iggy and Azealia. "Nazi is nothing more than a prostitute with a fake silicone ass!!", "Azoo Bankrupt should worry about getting a hit before speaking about social issues!!", "Igloo Australia is the definition of white trash!! She deserves no respect!!".

Drake is not artistically that much better than Nicki. They're equal in rap talent and Drake hasn't shown any sort of growth in his sound since 2009. He just makes the same album in varying degrees of quality.
The only thing he has on her musically is having a consistent sound.
