How can that Rihanna fan count SwineFest for ARTPOP and not the 3 R8 singles? Just because they were scrapped doesn't mean they weren't promo for the eventual album, ANTi.

And, people have already listed the reasons why ARTPOP is more successful. ARTPOP was released in a better climate for sales (still not great though. People talked in 2013 as well about how weak album sales were as well), had more promo, and ANTi had 1 million copies given away for free (although I honestly don't believe this had as big effect as Rihanna fans think. I bought the album for FREE, but I wasn't ever gonna pay money for it. I'm sure there are others in my boat and she would NOT have done more than 300,000-400,000 first week even if she never gave away any copies)

Those are the facts, with some slight bias thrown in. Both are really good albums, I love ANTi and I love ARTPOP.

G.U.Y did nothing for Artpop.
The one has 8 albums, the other one will release her 5th album this year. Of course Rihana would have the sales here even tho the difference is 1-2M. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyhow, as I said, Anti is a terrible album, Artpop is better + Gaga is bigger

I doubt Rihanna's catalog has sold an additional 400,000 copies these decade.
Even so, she still wouldn't match Gaga's US album sales this decade, considering I even forgot to add the additional 1M copies the TFM EP sold this decade in the US

The Fame Monster - 4,6M total (probably 2M this decade)
The Fame Monster EP - 1,6M total (1M this decade)

Post-2010 releases:

TR - 0,5M
BTW - 2,4M
ARTPOP - 0,77M
C2C - 0,73M
