Purple Rain will definitely fall below us, so we'll pass that. Formation might pass us, though. We're outselling Mike by only a bit, we're doing way better on streaming. So far this week, we're also doing better on radio than him so we might pass him. We're definitely passing Rihanna too.
This Is What You Came For and H.O.L.Y. are coming so it'll also depend how high they debut. I don't think top 5 is out of the question, or at least a re-peak.

It is extremely likely that we'll go Top 5 next week. Purple Rain will obviously plummet, we're now above Work in both sales AND airplay, and I have no reason to believe that Formation will sell or stream better this week than it did last week. This Is What You Came For and HOLY won't have nearly enough airplay or streams to be any sort of competition. There's basically nothing else below us that currently poses a threat, so as long as we can pass Work, Top 5 is ours.

Formation will fall. I don't see the two tracks quoted above debuting top 5, so let's just pray.

Yeah, now that I think about it, Formation doesn't pose a threat. Top 5 is pretty much on lock unless H.O.L.Y. or Calvin Harris debut above us.
Actually if neither of those debut above us, and we outdo Mike this week (which is very possible) we could even be #4

Now, I REALLY hope the BBMAs are on lock.
I'm starting to think my source was told promo slots the management WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO BOOK instead of BOOKED. Cause if they ain't there, then the other two I got told might just be wishful thinking (also cause it was 2 months and a half ago and I guess negotiations might have not started).
Either way, this has been such a good run so far. Only thing missing are big stages, but I'm sure they'll make up for that with the album release.
Also, I definetely think plans are changed for good. The original number of instant grats planned was FIVE. So we would have had almost half the album before release (and it was supposed to happen one week earlier).

Let me turn on some candles and do a prayer circle all of this week! All the waiting is going to be paid off next week hopefully.

Yeah, I'm really happy they didn't do this, 5 insta grats on a 12 track album would have been a mess

You made the other two promo slots sound really big. If these aren't really 100% confirmed, couldn't you spill the tea sis?
I kinda have a feeling it's SNL and The Voice. Which are pretty much the two biggest platforms out there rn.

Question guys and I need answers.
Is anyone nervous for That's My Girl as second single? Gender based songs don't usually do too well.

We haven't gotten an ounce of good promo so far so I'm not really expecting any.

I'm more worried about it not being as good as WFH tbh. I'm so hooked on WFH and I think it is such an amazing song, a definite 10/10 in my book.
So yeah, I just hope it's a great song.

No no NO. I didn't mean it that way. I meant that they're still quite far away, so I find them hard to believe them. I can't spill that much also cause I wanna check if everything's legit, I already feel kinda guilty for the BBMAs in case they aren't there.
BTW @shelven same. I remember that my reaction was a huge "what the ****" back then, but appareantly they really wanted to play no games and make sure the album would have debuted good. Guess WFH did wonders, then! Expecting TMG to drop soon tho. May 13th could be it.

Dangerous Woman is doing well right now. I really don't think gender is a factor in whether or not a song does well.
We also don't know the context of the title. I remember TONS of people thought Work From Home was an awful title when it was first revealed, but after hearing the song, it made perfect sense.
I'm more worried about the fact that the snippet as well as the descriptions from people who have heard the song make it seem like it's mostly pure pop, which doesn't smash as much as it used to.

Are they gonna get any promo besides a cancelled Ellen performance?

May 13th would be ideal tbh. It would be nice for them to perform both TMG and WFH in promo slots like GMA and Today Show.

And will hinder it's rhythmic airplay..
What have the descriptions been?
Are they looking for more pop/ hot ac airplay with this one?

Wait I thought Tinashe wrote it? Why is it pure pop?
Also do anyone have the insta link to that little snippet still?

Also worried about it being too poppy. It would suck, since they've been hinting that they found their sound and it's urban.
