I never said she was more successful. I said she was bigger. They're not necessarily the same thing. Whitney had a larger commercial presence due to having such high sales from only two albums and having a record 7 consecutive #1 hits out of 10 singles, which is FAR less than the 20 or so that Madonna released. Not to mention her albums stayed atop the Billboard 200 for a combined 25 weeks. How long did Madonna's albums stay up there for in the 80s?

But she didn't. Out of the 10 solo singles Whitney released in the 80s, 7 went to #1. Out of the 6 Paula released, 4 went to #1. 70%>>> 66.6666%
