Beyoncé is at the point in her career where she made the *choice* to forego the dance of appeasing radio for a hit. Radio is the one who usually decides to phase out an artist when they either age out or can't make the hits like they used to. By Beyoncé choosing to shun them, it's worked like reverse psychology. They want her because she doesn't need them. That's boss.
Beyoncé makes albums and tours. Both of which are mega successful. That's the point that should be focused on.

People are even using the longevity argument about Adele's 25. It's just absolutely ridiculous.

!!! How are they even still trying to use frontloaded as a drag when they've been running around screaming "streaming is the future, albums don't sell anymore" I don't get it.
Just bitter because some artist can still push a lot of units.

Front loaded is financially better for the industry sales wise. It also can fund future projects. Money now >>>> money future.
With streaming frontloadedness could be a legitimate issue in the case for a single...(albums will always be front loaded streaming wise)

I doubt it. If she was, they would have updated, no?

The simple reality is those who can, sell; those who can't, (rely on) stream.
Streaming may be the future of the business, but when you're one of the few who can still move the most without relying on an equivalence formula, that should be respected.

Haters are still coming for her single sales? She is a smart business woman.
One night, she can make 5M$ on tour. 1 performance can make a song sell 5M more? How much a successful single can make her album sell more ? At the end of the day, artists earn most of the money from tours.
Unlike others, she doesn't need hit singles to stay relevant. She can make music that she like ,go on tour and collect coins.

Yeah but this is possibly the best music of her career. Radio is one of the best ways to reach people that wouldn't click or stream your song. It can help enhance album for sales especially for an artist like her. Plus I just love hearing her on the radio.

Whether THIS album will be front loaded or not, it doesn't matter. At this point she's on track to outsell every album released this year in about 2 weeks.
Y'all stay trying to use "frontloaded" as a drag. At least her stuff is loading.

End ha!

I don't know whether these are good numbers or not, but it doesn't matter. The album is absolutely great & that is what matters here. Beyoncé & her Beyhive should be proud.

Streaming maybe the future, but artist who can still sell albums will always outrank those who rely heavily on streaming because the revenue from pure sales >>>>>the revenue from streaming. Nothing will ever change that, Money speaks louder than free.

HDD Update:

LEMONADE SALES POUR IN (UPDATE)
Beyoncé's new set, Lemonade (Columbia), became available for download on iTunes and Amazon Sunday night; it hit #1 on the iTunes album chart early Monday morning after sitting one slot below The Very Best of Prince. "Formation," previously unavailable for download, is #1 on the singles chart, while "Hold Up" is #2, "Sorry" is #3, "6 Inch" featuring The Weeknd is #4, "Freedom" f/Kendrick Lamar is #6, the Jack White-assisted "Don't Hurt Yourself" is #7, "All Night" is #9 and "Pray You Catch Me" is #10.
The album is now expected to hit 475-525k in album sales and 575-640k SPS.
Physical product is due on 5/6. Tidal will have a permanent exclusive on the streaming front. There is, sources say, no plan to take the album wide on that platform.
