I never called 1989 risky, but I was told before the album release that she would be over if she competely abondoned the country base. So kinda weird.
It wasn't like all of her fans were just country lovers back when Speak Now/Red were happening. Some of the songs back then were country-pop as well. I just don't see it as an "experimental" type risk.
She's a pretty girl with a pretty voice. I think she was worried about trying to live up to 21's success, which is why 25 is so MOR. She'll figure it out. She's harmless.
Taylor Swift has literally become so big based upon her own God given talent not scams or stunts!
Also no one would have cared about the nobodies Taylor was writing songs about if they weren't so damn well written.
It's crazy how her reinvention into pop starlet just put her in a whole other league but she deserves it.
