If Hillary was 500 delegates ahead and made unviable in California, she'd still be 25 delegates ahead. Regardless, she won't be quite that far ahead and she sure as hell won't be made unviable in California.

It should be the opposite. Cruz has dominated the Western states. He should focus on having huge wins in Oregon and New Mexico.

Polls show Cruz neck and neck wth Trump in IN. If Kasich gives up he's hoping his supporters vote for Cruz to stop Trump

And it'll he unfair to Kasich if Cruz wins all of the states and not Kasich so that's why they probably made a deal where he gets the western states.

If the point is to stop Trump, then they need to steal as many delegates as they can, whether they be Cruz or Kasich

True. But if Cruz is snatching all of the delegates and not Kasich then when it comes to the convention Cruz will just screw Kasich over

The GOP better think long and hard about picking Cruz over Trump. Trump has low favorables now, but that could change plus it's easier for him to pivot the center than Cruz. Ted Cruz has favorability numbers just as low as Hilary and Trump and lot of people don't even know him yet. The LGBT bathroom thing really sealed it for me how bad Cruz is.

I agree. Trump is so much better for them

I'm even more annoyed Kasich is going along with this. Oregon and New Mexico are useless states so he's getting the short end of the stick. Easily.

Plus, a Trump-Kasich ticket could have been really formidable if Kasich agreed to it. The Midwest could have been in play and maybe offset some Southern losses. That seems over now.

All of this, and yet Trump will still probably beat them.

I'm not even a Trump supporter, but I want him to win because what the DNC/GOP establishment is doing is really corrupt.

I'm pulling for Trump as well. They're trying to screw him over so much that it's comical.

Plus, he's shown a willingness to take a few logical stances on issues that the Republican Party has not budged on (i.e. Israel and Planned Parenthood- yes, I know that he said he'd defund it due to their stance on abortion, but unlike GOP higher-ups he frequently acknowledges that they do good work).

Ted Cruz is a pure Tea Party ideologue who completely ignores the principle of separation of church and state and has ridiculous economic proposals such as a flat tax. He's also repeatedly demonstrated incredible levels of ignorance and discrimination towards many demographics.
